Course Abstract:

This course presents and discusses the major components of IBM’s z/OS operating system. A “big picture” of the z/OS operating system is constructed to relate the many components.

These components include the following –

> Software components
> Hardware components
> Task Management
> Data Management
> Supervisor component
> Program Products that complement z/OS

Note: This class is lecture only.

Audience:

This course is intended for entry-level Information Technology individuals who need to learn the concepts, terminology and capabilities of IBM’s latest main frame operating system z/OS.
