Course Abstract:	The purpose of this course is to provide the participant with a working knowledge of Job Control Language including how JCL is used to control and override JCL Procedures (PROCS). The hands-on workshops provide real-life scenarios to reinforce the participant guide materials.
Audience:	These courses is designed for individuals who are programmers, analysts, and production control personnel needing an understanding of what JCL is and how to effectively use it in the submission, running and reviewing of mainframe jobs.

Learning Outcomes:	Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to: > Recognize that JCL is current, (i.e. it can send email!) > Know the purpose of JCL > Know the purpose of SMS > Know the structure of JCL > Learn the syntax of JCL > Learn the types of JCL statements > Practice JES statement usage > Apply JCL parameters and data input > Know how to establish JCL job flows > Know JCL job class resource utilization > Recognize conditional JCL statements (If & Condition Code) > Know what JCL Procedures (PROCs) can do > Know that JCL PROCs have overrides, variables, and can be nested > Recognize common JCL Abend Codes
