| Course Abstract: |
Participants are invited to bring their current ideas and questions to the classroom for discussion. Case studies, lecture, group problem solving, and online laboratories will be used. Participants will be encouraged to enhance their skills utilizing the techniques presented through classroom problem solving and controlled online workshops. |

This course is designed for prospective system administrators who are already familiar with the Linux operating system, but desire more detailed and specialized information as listed below. This course is available for a variety of Linux distributions, including RedHat Enterprise Linux, Novell SUSE Enterprise Linux, and Ubuntu Linux (which is based on Debian). |

| Prerequisites: |
Familiarity with Linux commands, directory structure, and the text editor. The largest value is obtained when the participant has been working as a novice system administrator for approximately 2 to 4 weeks. By that time, the participant has questions to be answered, but has experience with the common day-to-day aspects of system administration |
