This course provides the fundamentals of team building. Issues like group synergy, attitude, perception, trust, and competition, are fully explored. Participants identify some of the common blockers that hinder people from working together. Additionally, participants identify their preference styles, and learn the importance of appreciating differences.

In this introductory section, participants look at their organization and departments relative to how well they work together. Additionally, they develop a list of important characteristics of a team player.
Why We Want to Work Together The Cycles Synergy More productive and fun
In this section, participants learn the value of working together. They experience the “WIIFM”.
Factors That Hinder People from Working Together Perception Cultural conditioning Competition X-O Activity Structural competition vs. “Co-competition” Lack other necessary skills
Although many people want to work together, cultural and personal blockers hinder their ability to do so. This section examines these blockers and suggestions are facilitated on how to overcome them.
Understanding and Accepting Human Differences (or Conflict Management) Preference test (MBTI) Preference activity How preference styles affect teams
In this section, participants gain an understanding of their own preference styles. They examine how ones preference style can hinder or enhance a relationship. Through this understanding, participants are able to accept differences in people.
