QTP Advanced Topics Course

Course Code: MQ 634
Course Abstract: This core course focuses on two important Advanced QuickTest concepts, VBScripting and Advanced Web configuration techniques. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of using VB Scripting, the programming interface language used by Quick Test Professional (QTP), and also includes advanced Web concepts, such as Web configuration and advanced techniques for handling Web objects.

This course covers the basic principles of Object-oriented Programming (OOP), and the difference between VBScript and other programming languages. Course materials focus on using the QuickTest Expert View to enhance recorded tests by adding conditional and looping logic statements. This course also covers the different data types used by QuickTest and provides practical examples of the different data types. These materials are suitable for any QTP testing environment (Windows, Web, Terminal Emulator, etc.).

Participants receive advanced instruction on QuickTest Web objects and are provided with illustrations on how to overcome several common Web testing issues by applying advanced QTP configuration options based on specific applications differences.

All topics are supported by hands-on exercises based on real-life examples.
