Course Abstract: This workshop helps to prepare candidates for Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) examination.  Even experienced project managers will benefit from this workshop by learning what to expect and how to prepare.  A baseline assessment helps participants understand where they need to focus their time.  The Project Management Processes and Framework puts this broad topic into perspective and each project management knowledge area is covered.  The rationale used to reach the correct answer is discussed and a final practice test is administered.  This workshop has been updated to reflect the Fourth Edition of PMBOK®.

Audience: This workshop is designed for individuals pursuing either the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification or the Certified Associate of Project Management (CAPM®).

Each of the nine knowledge areas has a depth of content, terminology, JARGON and formulas.   This module makes up the bulk of the workshop with practice questions.

d.    Risk and Procurement Management

5.    The Project Management Process Groups

Process groups and knowledge areas come together to make up the discipline of project management.  Professional responsibility is woven throughout the but recognized as a separate domain for study purposes.
