Keys to Effective Delegation Course

Course Abstract: The focus of this course is to teach the skills necessary to effectively delegate. Making the transition from individual contributor, to being responsible for others’ contributions, requires the ability to delegate tasks to others. The three areas of emphasis are: identifying which tasks to delegate, conducting a delegation meeting, and following up on delegated tasks.

This course is designed for anyone.

The program offers participants the opportunity to:

>Define delegation
>Identify their present level of delegation skills
>Identify personal barriers to delegation
>Identify which tasks to delegate, and which tasks to keep
>Utilize a method for determining the right person for the task
>Define responsibility, authority, and accountability
>Plan a delegation meeting
>Identify the four steps to effective delegation
>Conduct a delegation meeting
>Practice delegation skills
