ITIL® v3 Foundation is the newest entry level Certification Course for IT Service Management Practice based on ITIL® v3. ITIL® v3 Foundation is a summary course covering the latest overall refresh of core ITIL® best practices presented in the context of the just released ITIL® Service Management Practice core texts which look at ITIL® from a Lifecycle perspective. This course introduces the principles and core elements of IT Service Management (ITSM) based on the ITIL® v3.
This class provides the participant with both theoretical and practical knowledge of the processes in an IT Service Provider organization at the foundation level. This knowledge is put into practice using a comprehensive business simulation, adapted specifically to illustrate ITIL® v3 considerations and impact. Participants that have attended this training are ready to obtain for the industry standard ITIL® v3 foundation certification. The duration of this course is four days, including several rounds of the simulation, an exam preparation and the industry standard exam. (Exam Fees and Certification Exams are Optional.)
The simulation is based on Wall Street and stock trading. The simulation takes approximately 12 hours depending on the composition of the participating group and the specific learning objectives.
