Course Abstract:

This one-day workshop is based on our comprehensive Configuration Management Guidebook and presents the fundamental principles and concepts of effective software configuration management.

The workshop is designed to be a major step in an organization's process improvement program.  The workshop covers all essential elements of software configuration management.  Participants discuss how the concepts and practices presented relate to their organization's requirements and environment.  At the completion of the workshop, participants will be able to apply proven configuration management practices to their own projects and to begin defining a CMMI®-compliant configuration management process.

The general format is lecture combined with exercises and discussion designed to illustrate and reinforce the concepts and techniques presented.

Participants receive a copy of the workshop slides and a copy of the Configuration Management Guidebook.
