Facilitation Skills Course

Course Abstract: This course focuses on helping leaders, managers, and/or trainers learn how to facilitate a group meeting. Because the skills required for facilitation are different than those needed for presenting, this course begins by identifying the differences. Participants learn a Three Step Facilitation Process, gain an understanding of group dynamics, and learn to use several facilitation tools. Participants also practice dealing with several common problems and issues typically encountered when facilitating.
Audience: This course is designed for anyone.
Duration: 1 day

The program offers participants the opportunity to:

>Identify the differences between a presenter and a facilitator
>Define the roles and responsibilities of a facilitator
>Learn a Three Step Facilitation Process
>Examine the components of a developing group
>Learn and practice several facilitation tools
>Apply techniques on how to deal with resistant people and groups
