Creating a Motivating Climate Course

Course Abstract:

The subject of motivating people in the workplace is one which volumes of information have been compiled. Yet, with all this data, how to motivate others is often misunderstood. Motivation cannot be imposed, installed, or downloaded; nor is it an “event.”

In this four hour program, leaders learn ways to create a motivating climate. Rather than trying to motivate people to achieve, participants learn how to provide opportunities for achievement, resulting in increased motivation.

Audience:

This course is designed for anyone.

Duration: 4 hours
Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

> Distinguish between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation
> Explore reasons why workplaces focus on extrinsic motivators
> Determine if money is a motivator
> Learn the Three C’s of motivation
> Uncover and apply several behavioral truisms
