Course Abstract:

Trust is a dynamic process that wax and wanes depending on one’s experiences. Trust is a process that begins with a perception of yourself and others. Trust develops as people are willing to risk rejection through self-disclosure. It builds when people respond with support and acceptance; and it deteriorates when the response is rejection or ridicule.

In this four-hour program, participants identify their level of trust and trustworthiness. The anatomy of trust is examined, and participants learn ways to rebuild trust in a mistrusting environment.

Audience:

This course is designed for anyone.

Duration: 5 hours
Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

> Examine their level of trust and trustworthiness
> Identify behaviors that enhance and weaken trust
> Recognize four common thought processes associated with trust
> Identify behaviors that facilitate the rebuilding of trust
