Course Abstract:

If people are an organization’s most valuable resource, then interviewing and selection is the most important skill. Bringing people into an organization that possess the skills, interests and personality to maximize success, is the secret weapon for the most admired companies. The selection process is one of the most complex yet critical functions impacting an organization’s success.

Many managers do not have the requisite understanding of the interview process – often leading to inappropriate hires. This course teaches the basics of interviewing and selection – from beginning the process to final decision. Participants will create a profile of an ideal candidate, recognize the most common interviewing mistakes, understand an interview process that will assist in gaining an in-depth profile of a candidate, and learn how to make objective hiring decisions.
