| Course Abstract: |
In this course, participants learn application design using MVC in the Integrated Language Environment (ILE). Participants will also learn to manage the environment, and ILE objects, design applications using ILE programs and service programs, discover the uses and tactics of activation groups and job management and understand the Model, View, Controller (MVC) application design methodology. |
| Audience: |
This course is designed for programmers, either new to the iSeries, but with some basic programming skills, or experienced RPG/400 programmers who want to transition their applications to the ILE environment. This is a great course for programmers and application designers responsible for new applications, and for the maintenance of legacy code. |

| Prerequisites: |
Programmers should have experience with OS/400 programming facilities, and a basic understanding of RPG, COBOL, CL and/or C programming languages. These prerequisites can be met by successfully completing iSeries Programming Facilities and WDSC Code Tools courses, or with equivalent working knowledge. |
