WebLogic 9.1 Advanced System Administration Course

Course Abstract:

This course covers many of the Weblogic tools that are used to configure, tune and manage a Weblogic domain. Participants will configure Weblogic JMS destinations, Weblogic security providers and utilize the Weblogic Diagnostics framework. Participants will configure network channels and discuss the building of enterprise class domains with WAN failover.

This course is designed for WebLogic 9.1 System Administrators.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
> Recognize MBeans and the architecture of the JMX design
> Write WLST scripts
> Write Ant scripts to leverage WLST
> Write Java classes that access MBeans
> Recognize the impact of Work Managers on the performance of applications deployed on BEA WebLogic Server
> Identify the fundamentals of WebLogic Server Diagnostics Framework
> Configure the embedded LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) server and a new security realm
> Configure non-default security
> Secure WebLogic resources through SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
> Create and configure store-and-forward agents
> Configure Unit of Order and Path Service
> Use transactions with JMS
> Configure a messaging bridge between WebLogic JMS and MQSeries or third-party JMS servers such as JBoss
