Course Abstract: This course is designed specifically for project team members or anyone that is interested in obtaining an overview of SAP’s WM functionality.  The goal of this course is to provide participants with an understanding of the warehouse management module including – functionality, terminology, overall flow, process, master data, documents, and integration.  The intent is to prepare the project team for additional levels of training and for to-be documentation activities.  Participants should walk away from this class with a solid understanding of the WM module of SAP and should feel comfortable discussing WM.  This course does not teach participants how to do their jobs in SAP.
Audience: This course is designed for Project Team Members or anyone who wants an understanding of SAP’s WM Module.

Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

> Define the elements of the VM Organizational Structure: Storage Location (MM Structure), Warehouse, Storage Type, Storage Section, Picking Area, Storage Bin Type
> Understand Master Data specific to the WM: Material Master – WM Views, Bins
> Define the overall Warehouse Process
> Discuss Picking and Putaway Strategies
> Define Handling Units and Handling Unit Management
> Discuss Batch Management
> Explain the Various Touchpoints in Process between SD/LE, MM/Purchasing
