| Course Abstract: |
In this course, participants learn how to use The IBM Rational Developer for System i which is a new eclipse based workstation offering for i5/OS application development. This is very similar to the IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client (WDSC) for the iSeries, which it replaces. Version 7 of IBM’s new Rational workbench for creating and maintaining applications is taught. Participants learn to use the Remote System Explorer RSE which contains the CODE/400 Editor, Designer, and the Distributed debugger. They also review other features of WDSc and gain an understanding of Client setup and functions, and the server (iSeries) setup and functions. |
| Audience: |
This course is designed for programmers, and those who have a need to write programs, in any language, on any IBM eServer. RPG IV application programmers who use the host-based IBM Application Development Tool Set (ADTS) products: Program Development Manager (PDM), Source Entry Utility (SEU), Screen Design Aid (SDA) and are interested in increasing their productivity by using new RSE workstation-based replacements tools for PDM, SEU, and SDA are also invited to attend. |
