RPG IV Update Course

Course Abstract:

The improvements to RPG in the last few release are more significant then the change from RPG/400 to RPGIV.  This class will provide a concise review of resent Version 5 R1 and R2 major enhancement to the language.

Get a comprehensive exposure to the advanced features and functions of RPG IV for Version 5 R1 and R2.  Experienced RPG IV programmers learn to develop and maintain RPG IV programs of an advanced level using the latest features and techniques available in the Version 5 R2 compiler.

Learn programming in the Integrated Language Environment (ILE), managing the environment, and your ILE objects.  Design applications using ILE programs and Service programs.  Discover the uses and tactics of activation groups and job management.  Understand the MVC application design methodology.

Audience:

This course is designed for experienced RPG IV programmers who want to use ILE programming techniques.
