DB2 SQL Refresher Course

Course Abstract:

This course is designed to provide experienced DB2 SQL programmers with a refresher course dealing with SQL best practices and DB2 v7.x SQL features and programming hints. This course will also present information on stored procedure design and statement design issues to provide programmers a knowledge base from which to make sound design decisions.

ENVIRONMENT: This course will be taught using Mainframe SPUFI in a TSO/ISPF environment.

Audience:

This course is designed for experienced DB2 SQL programmers that already understand the basics and syntax of the SQL language as used in DB2.

Duration: 4 days
Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
> Utilize DB2 Version 7.x SQL features and facilities and also understand the major SQL performance issues associated with designing, creating, and deploying SQL statements.
