Course Abstract:	This course provides information on the intricacies for working Telon with the new facilities of eCOBOL. There are Telon r4 hands on workshops to solidify the panels and features for programming with this latest release. The course also presents the major changes in COBOL as IBM's Enterprise COBOL is implemented for speed, functionality, and internet aware backend processing by shops all over the world.
Audience:	This course is designed for individuals who are programmers/analysts with a minimum of 6 months exposure to Telon (any release) and with Enterprise COBOL (or any COBOL version).

Learning Outcomes:	Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to: > Know ‘best practices’ for writing Telon Online custom code with eCOBOL > maintain existing programs in Telon r4 within an Enterprise COBOL environment > build new programs with Telon r4 which are targeted for an Enterprise COBOL > Know the TDF parameters and their relationship to the generated programs > utilize documented and undocumented ‘tips and techniques’ for Telon r4 > navigate the TDF panels and screens to effectively utilize the Telon r4 > create a personal ‘cheat sheet’ for after class use relating to Telon r4 > master the terminology, technology, and techniques in Telon r4 > relate to Telon r4 syntax, buzzwords, and custom code points > Learn the major facilities and features of Enterprise COBOL > Know the major DBMS considerations in Enterprise COBOL > Recognize the major source level differences in Enterprise COBOL > Recognize the major file handling differences in Enterprise COBOL > Know the major run time level differences in Enterprise COBOL > Learn the major condition code differences in Enterprise COBOL > Learn the concepts, structure, and technology in Enterprise COBOL > Know the migration process from OS/VS COBOL to Enterprise COBOL > Apply SORT, MERGE, and SYSOUT considerations in Enterprise COBOL
